Nov 18 to 20 We catch the Sorrento to Queenscliff ferry and head down the Great Ocean Road for a 3 day stay in Warrnambool. We stay at the local showgrounds. Again, great value at $20 per night. Having played the local course when we visited last year we decide to have a game at the close by Port Fairy club. What a beautiful golf course, right on the ocean with spectacular views. Of course, the wind blows a gale as well but that does not spoil a lovely experience. (For the Irish followers of this blog Port Fairy lies inside Belfast Cove).
Hi Bob and Siobhan I have just read your Blog and all I can say is good on you guys !!!! You are living the dream. Dick and I definitely need to get out there and do the same. I particularly liked the free camp pics as they look amazing especially the one on the Murray.
Congratulations Siobhan for winning the runners up at the Vet Championships, well done. That just puts the icing on the cake for the trip.
We are off down South to Canberra for Christmas and then 2 weeks at North Durras caravan park (on the south coast near Batemans Bay) with family. Then off to NZ for February. After that we have nothing planned so it seems a good time to set off and do what you are doing. My sister in South Frankston has just moved into a new house and wants us to visit so we could head down that way and experience the great Ocean Road and free camps.
Hope to see you before Christmas, we will definitely have a drink or two.
Bye for now
Maz xx
