Port Germein To Hay

Jan 8 to 15  We revisit Port Hughes where we stopped on the way down to Port Lincoln but, unfortunately, the weather was against us as it was blowing a gale and impossible to fish. A brief stop in Adelaide is followed by free camping in Renmark, Lake Benanee and 2 nights in the wilderness at Hay camping next to the Murrumbidgee River, a lovely spot.

The weather is again warm and we have to keep an eye on the bush fire reports as we travel north through a very dry NSW.

  1. Hi Bob and Siobhan
Great pics! We got home Sunday after spending Christmas down south with family. I left about 18th December to travel in the little red car to Canberra to help my Son, his wife and little Eli pack and move to Culburra Beach on the south coast near Nowra. The truck picked up their stuff on Thursday 20th and we followed it across to Culburra. I spent Christmas helping them unpack and sort things and Dick arrived in Canberra on Sat 22 with the caravan and spent Christmas with his family in Canberra. It was all a bit weird as that would be the 1st Christmas we have spent apart since we have been together. We met up at Durras North on 27th December and stayed there for 2 weeks with his brother and sister and their families. We then had to leave hoping we could get through the fires, as it was we had no trouble traveling north on the New England Hwy.

We are now getting ready to travel to New Zealand for 4 weeks leaving on 30 Jan so will probably miss seeing you before we leave or will we? Well thats all from me, keep safe and we will see you when we see you.

    Cheers
    Maz xx
